Like all cities across the world, the City of San Diego is facing a climate crisis. To meet the magnitude of the crisis, we are setting an ambitious goal to achieve net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2035. This Climate Action Plan (CAP) is the City’s policy commitment to set clear goals to reduce GHG emissions and details the strategies and actions we will collectively take to make San Diego a more sustainable, healthy and thriving city. The CAP outlines federal, regional and local actions to avoid GHG emissions and allows us to hold ourselves accountable as we implement the plan.
