As head of NBC News’ climate unit, Al Roker leads his network’s coverage of the most pressing issues created by today’s changing climate. Join White House Federal Chief Sustainability Officer Andrew Mayock for a discussion with the Emmy Award-winning weatherman and popular anchor for NBC News’ TODAY to hear the stories he’s heard from climate vulnerable communities, what’s it’s like to report from the front lines, and how we can all make a difference.

This is the fourth event of the Sustainability Speaker Series for the Federal Community hosted by the White House Office of the Federal Chief Sustainability Officer. Through this series, Federal employees will enhance their sustainability and climate literacy and learn about President Biden’s Federal Sustainability Plan and their critical role in the shift to more sustainable and resilient operations.

Event registration is free. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Questions can be submitted during the registration process. This event will feature live closed captioning, an ASL interpreter, and will be recorded for viewing at a later date.

The Events Calendar gives you access to buildings-related events nationwide. We tag the events by location and category so you can easily find relevant events. If you’re aware of an event the community would like to know about, please consider adding the event to the calendar!
