Seattle Building Performance Standards

Loading Events

Join us for a virtual lunch ‘n’ learn presentation and discussion about the City of Seattle’s plans to address emissions from our largest buildings. A building performance standard (BPS) is a powerful policy tool to help reduce the energy used and emissions created from existing buildings, and can also be a policy that can support improvements in indoor air quality and create new green careers. Cities and states around the country are beginning to take action on similar policies, and in January of this year, the National BPS Coalition launched to coordinate efforts to inclusively design and implement building performance standards, and Seattle is amongst them. At this lunch ‘n’ learn, staff from the Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment will present on work to develop a robust BPS policy for existing buildings to directly address greenhouse gas emissions.

The Events Calendar gives you access to buildings-related events nationwide. We tag the events by location and category so you can easily find relevant events.
