SUMMARY:Launching a Power Sector Competitiveness Dashboard for the Southeast U.S.
DESCRIPTION:Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy\, Environment & Sustainability will launch a new Southeast Power Sector Competitiveness Dashboard on December 11. During this webinar\, Duke experts will discuss the dashboard’s purpose\, compare regional competitiveness metrics across states in the Southeast U.S.\, introduce the resource’s interactive features and information through a live demonstration\, and provide time for questions. \nThe Dashboard assembles key metrics on an array of policies and practices that influence how utilities\, regulators\, producers\, and consumers interact. This includes the extent to which state policies\, regulatory structures\, and market arrangements create conditions that advance consumer choice\, support distributed generation\, promote multi-actor participation\, and enable sharing of regional resources\, to name a few. \nThe Dashboard covers Alabama\, Arkansas\, Florida\, Georgia\, Kentucky\, Louisiana\, Mississippi\, North Carolina\, South Carolina\, Tennessee\, Virginia\, and West Virginia. \nThis project is led by Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy\, Environment & Sustainability. This project is supported by the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and is produced in concert with complementary work being led by WRI.
